Today I have a fun crafty video tutorial for you guys! When you take your jewelry off at the end of the night do you end up with little piles of jewelry on your night stand or perhaps on your bathroom vanity? Well, I do. I’m always so tired and I don’t feel like having to organize them in their usual home at that point, I just wanna go to beddd! If you’re like that too this project will be great for you or even if you just want a cute way to display some of your favourite jewelry pieces. I’m showing you how to make your own jewelry dishes and very inexpensively, too! BONUS! ;) Here, take a look at what we’re making:

So, if you wanna make some of these, first there’s a few things you’ll need to pick up and some things you’ll probably already.

Geometric Shapes Vases - by Mom ♥

Hi guys!

Here's a quick little post for you today! Just wanted to show you some more cases my Mom made from my Decorative Vase tutorial (click here for that post). Instead of tearing the paper as I show in my tutorial, she decided to try cutting some geometric shapes from very colorful tissue paper. These turn our quite beautiful, don't you think?

If you like these, try to make some yourself! It is quite simple and easy to do and, I've been told, can be quite relaxing. You can't really do much to mess this project up, so give it a go. Again, here is the link to that post with the video. :D

Falling Waterfall (Variation) Braid Tutorial

Hi Everyone! 

I’m so glad to be back with a new video! Yay! If you’ve been following me on facebook (if you haven’t, well, what are ya waitin’ for? Facebook.com/theCreativeGlow) then you know all about my troubles this week. When I finally got to film my video I was interrupted a few times with the barking dog, and I was going to include it as outtakes at the end of my video, but I just chose not to — trying not to dwell on the negative. :) Would you have wanted to see my annoyed faces? Alright, so, in this video I am showing you a cute casual hairstyle. It looks very feminine and pretty but might take a little practice. I’ve tried to explain the as best I could and I’ve included some additional diagrams in this post that I could not show in the video itself, just in case a little more clarification is needed. It’s not a typical waterfall technique; it’s more of a variation of. If you guys are at all interested in me doing a tutorial on the actual waterfall technique, then just leave me a little comment below letting me know. ;) I aim to please ‘cause I luv ya! But, for now, here is the hairstyle I’m showing you in this video:

Upcycling Project - Anthropologie Inspired Sweater

Hey Peeps!

Today I’ve got a cool and fun post for you all! I decided not to do a video for this one because I think everyone reading, more than likely, knows how to operate a sewing machine or at least knows someone who can help them with one. But, if, for the next post I do like this one, you guys want a video, then, please, leave me a little message in the comments section below this post! :) If you guys want the videos, I’ll do ‘em. ;) Anything you for guys! That being said, don’t worry, I will have another video for you guys next week which I will hopefully be recording tomorrow! 

So, for this week, I have an upcycling tutorial for you all! If you’re unsure of what upcycling is, it’s when you take something that’s old or you don’t have a use for and turn it into something different that you can use. You can do it with all kinds of stuff, but today I am doing it with clothes. 

I came across a great little top on the Anthropologie website but their clothes (in my opinion) are just so expensive and I ain’t rich! So, I thought, I can just make this so easily. I headed off to the thrift store to find some things to re-create it. I wasn’t able to find quite exactly what I wanted but I find some things that would work. First, let’s look at the style we are going to try and mimic:

Bloglovin' — Making Lovin' Blogs Easy & Fun(er)!

Hi, Folks! 

How was your Valentine’s Day? I hope everyone had an awesome one and if you didn’t have anyone special to share it with, I hope you enjoyed it just the same. You don’t need a Valentine, what is most important is that you’re happy either way! ;) 

So, today I wanted to talk to you guys about Bloglovin’. If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve probably heard me talk about the fact that you can now follow my blog on there. Since some of you may not know exactly what it is, I decided I’d do a quick little post on it. 

Bloglovin’ is a place where people can discover new blogs and follow their favourites. My blog is still in the same place, TheCreativeGlow.blogpot.com, but I’ve added it to this website, a directory let’s call it, that allows people to follow all the blogs they like in one place, rather than having to keep track of every one separately. And instead of having to go and check several blogs for new posts regularly, you only have to check one website to find any updates to any of the blogs you follow. You can even choose to receive daily or weekly emails letting you know when any have new posts. It makes enjoying blogs so much simpler and easier… and I’d say even more fun since you can give posts ‘likes’ and share and recommend to friends who may be using Bloglovin’ as well. You can choose to follow blogs or individuals so you can even keep up with blogs your friends may be following very easily.
