I had a request for me to do a tutorial on how I get my curls. After some polling over on Facebook it seemed like it would be a good idea, so today I bring you my Big Voluminous Curls Hair Tutorial! Asymmetrical Headband DIY - I Love It!

Hellooo, Friends! Today I bring you another DIY video tutorial – this really cute Asymmetrical Headband! This one is a little longer video than I’ve recently been trying to keep my videos down to, but it just needs a bit more explanation for certain steps, it does not mean that this is hard. It really isn’t.  And it only takes about an hour to make this headband.

So, I’m going to go over the supplies list but I just wanted to note that if you look around at places like Walmart or the Dollar Stores you might be able to find some of the items I purchased at Michaels for a little cheaper. I always hope you guys can spend as little as possible on the projects I bring you. I think I spent about $23 on the stuff I bought and this makes at least 2 headbands, you might be able to make 3 even, but I only made 2. But there were some things I already had…anyway, just see below for the list and prices and whatnot. :)

My New Cut and Color & Target Haul

Well, I got my hair cut last week and I wanted to share it with you with an explanation of what I asked for in case any of you want something similar – you’ll know what to ask your stylist for. DIY Sea Salt Spray for Awesome Beachy Waves!

Well… it’s a little gloomy and rainy here today, but hopefully you all have sunshine and warm weather where ever you’re tuning in from! I say this because today I am showing you all how to make your own Sea Salt Spray to get those sought after effortless looking beachy waves in your hair!

Even if you’ve got rain like I do here, we’ll still get a little more nice weather so you can rock that beachy hair look. On the other hand, if you’re planning a tropical vacation, this spray will be perfect for that. It makes quick work of getting decent hair when you’d rather be laying in the sun, going on an excursion, or participating in activities rather than spending the time doing your hair.

This really is the best sea salt spray I’ve used in my hair. I’ve tried many others and only found one that compared to this, which has been discontinued – isn’t that the way it often goes? Other sprays leave your hair feeling too crunchy or don’t do much to enhance the natural wave and texture  in your hair. That being said, it is sea salt spray so your hair will feel a bit like there is stuff in it, there’s no getting away from it completely, but the other nurturing ingredients in this concoction really help to reduce those icky results. 

Falling Waterfall (Variation) Braid Tutorial

Hi Everyone! 

I’m so glad to be back with a new video! Yay! If you’ve been following me on facebook (if you haven’t, well, what are ya waitin’ for? Facebook.com/theCreativeGlow) then you know all about my troubles this week. When I finally got to film my video I was interrupted a few times with the barking dog, and I was going to include it as outtakes at the end of my video, but I just chose not to — trying not to dwell on the negative. :) Would you have wanted to see my annoyed faces? Alright, so, in this video I am showing you a cute casual hairstyle. It looks very feminine and pretty but might take a little practice. I’ve tried to explain the as best I could and I’ve included some additional diagrams in this post that I could not show in the video itself, just in case a little more clarification is needed. It’s not a typical waterfall technique; it’s more of a variation of. If you guys are at all interested in me doing a tutorial on the actual waterfall technique, then just leave me a little comment below letting me know. ;) I aim to please ‘cause I luv ya! But, for now, here is the hairstyle I’m showing you in this video:

First Video - Messy Side Bun & Beautiful Aurora

Hello again, Everyone! :D Soooo today I am really excited because I’ve got 2 things to blog about. First, my video. Well, the whole thing, from beginning to end, was an experience. Ha Ha. Over the time it took me to set everything up I knocked over my background panels several times and knocked over one floor lamp, spilled 2 different drinks and cleared anything that was on my coffee table. :) But, it’s all in the fun of doing something for the first time. I learned a lot so I can do it better and more efficient next time.

So for this video, I decided to do a hairstyle tutorial. I’ve had a lot of strangers compliment this hairstyle and ask how I’ve done it which was the inspiration for starting my blog, and so, it’s only fitting for my first video. But, if you’re following my blog and you’re not into hair and makeup and maybe more interested in Art/Design/Crafts rather than beauty tutorials, don’t worry, there will be plenty of those in the future as well and, in fact, I plan on having something more crafty for my next video. It’s all about being creative here and I like to express that in many ways! ;)
