Nail Art Tutorial - Vintage Pattern Inspired

Friday, March 28, 2014

Hi all you awesome people!

Today is a great day, not only because it’s my birthday, but because I’ve got another video tutorial for you!! Yipee!

The video I have prepared for you guys is a Nail Art Tutorial. I really love the sorta vintage color scheme of blush and turquoise and, from there, I’ve really taken a liking to other vintage looking things recently, like the pattern that inspired this nail tutorial. What was once old becomes new again. I like to call it ‘Modern Vintage Style’… is that already a ‘thing’? ha ha. Here’s a look at the nails I’m showing you how to do:

I think it looks super cute and I’m pleased with how easy it actually was to do. If you can hold a paint brush, I’m confident you can do this yourself with watching my tutorial. So, here you go, watch this and then get to it!

Pretty easy, right? And using the acrylic paints will make it cost much less than having to go out and buy 3 or 4 bottles of polish. If you have TONS of polishes like I do already that may not be a problem, but using the acrylic paints for the pattern makes it easier to apply, creates the fluffy flower effect easier, and dries slow enough to be workable but quick enough to move on to each step. You do want to make sure that you are painting the entire nail with an actual polish though. I wouldn’t recommend painting the entire nail with acrylic paints, I doubt it would last very long without chipping or peeling. What makes using the acrylic paints for patterns work is that they are sandwiched between actual polishes and sealed all around.

If you guys liked this video I’ll try and do some more nail art tutorials in the future as ideas pop into my head. But you all have to let me know, like or dislike, and you can do that by commenting in the comments section below this post! I’d love to hear from you! :D If you do try this one out yourselves, come on over to facebook and send me your pics, I’d love to see those. Also, Sharing is Caring, so if you liked this (or any of my videos) make sure to share away ;) Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter… wherever!

Now, it’s time for me to go get ready for BIRTHYDA FUN! Have an awesome day and have fun vintage floral-ing yer nails!
