DIY Ruffled Felt Christmas Tree Ornament

Friday, December 1, 2017

I'm excited! Today I have the first of my Christmas posts for you! I hope to have several more in the coming weeks, but in this post I have a DIY Ruffled Christmas Tree Ornament that's so stinkin' easy to make you'll be as excited to make them as I am to show them to you! Here we go...

I got this idea for an ornament that I saw at a department store. I love to get ideas from things that catch my eye in stores, that I know I can re-create for cheap without anyone realizing! A sheet of felt costs of 50 cents (CAD) at Michaels; from 8 sheets I made 10 ornaments, so they cost me 40 cents each to make these! 40 CENTS!!! And this ornament looks sort of complicated with all it's ruffles, but as I mentioned earlier - so easy!!! So, so easy!

So, let's take a look at our very short supply list and then let's get into the tutorial!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Felt
- Round Jar Lid
- Marker or Pen
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue Sticks
- Needle & Thread
- Jute Twine, Ribbon, or String (for ball hanger)

That's all for this post! I hope you're all excited for the Holidays and come back for more Christmas posts!
