Art Series #18 - "Cheetah Cub" Oil Painting & Chat

Friday, April 19, 2019

Today I am back to show you one of the itty bitty paintings I recently finished. Check out the time-lapse video in this post if you want to see my oil painting process for this little 4 x 4" piece...

During my time-lapse videos I try to have a topic to discuss; in this video I talk about making art with meaning/message/theme vs. painting purely for visual enjoyment and the fun of just creating. These are only my opinions and not everyone will share them, so be nice even if you have an opposite view. We're all entitled to our own opinions and feelings.

Also, since this mini painting is of a cheetah, I thought it would be nice to talk a bit about these beautiful animals in the time-lapse as well. They are an endangered animal and become more so each day; I learned a lot about them after I did this painting and I felt obliged to share that info with you all.

Don't forget to check out my Art Instagram page if you want to see more of my paintings and my processes. I hope you all enjoy the video and enjoy your Easter weekend!
