Fall Boot Love

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

When Fall comes around it's always a fashion dream and nightmare for me for one very big reason: BOOTS! I want ALL the boots! There are just too many beautiful boots and booties to choose from, and without millions of dollars lying around, my feet and my outfits and my heart can feel a little sad at times. Sometimes you can find really cute, inexpensive boots at places like Walmart, and I don't mind buying those from time to time... when I can find something I like in their limited selection. So in this post I have complied a selection of boots my heart is longing for this season, and I hope you will share my infatuation for, from places that provide a bit better quality than Walmart, but won't break the bank on just one pair. Let's take a look... but I take no responsibility if you spend your entire budget on boots this month and have to live on Mr. Noodles and KD. Good luck!

FRINGE BENEFITS
The whole retro/70's kickback is really big in fashion right now, so you may notice that a lot of the boots in this post are reminiscent of that decade. I personally am really loving it! Even in my clothes, I'm liking the tans, rusts, and cranberry colors that I am seeing everywhere. Here you can see that 70's style in these boots in "70's tan" and fringes - awesome!

I'VE BEEN PER-SUEDE-ED
Sometimes when you're looking for cute but affordable boots and shoes it can be hard to find something that is real leather. A lot of people look for this in footwear since it means they should last longer than the synthetic, man-made materials... so long as they are cared for properly with the appropriate weather proofing sprays. Here are a few gorgeous, fairly affordable heeled booties I came across... and, yah, they're real suede!

HEAD OVER LACE-UP HEELS
These lace-up bootie heels are great for a casual but feminine weekend look. I can picture them worn with a nice little skater skirt or rolled up skinny jeans and a flannel shirt. Plus, they're the perfect combination of heel and comfort which, let's face it, normally aren't 2 words you'd pair together.

TOUGH LOVE
When you want that perfect mixture/contrast of sweet and tough try pairing these gorgeous combat style boots with a floral dress. These also finish off any boho outfit quite nicely, and still allow you to traverse any type pf terrain, which is a big plus, because who knows what adventures you'll get up to on any given day, right?

RIDE TO THE BEAT OF MY HEART
In my opinion riding boots are the best of both worlds when it comes to style and comfort. You can wear them with just about anything and dress them up or down; skirts, skinny jeans, leggings, dresses - they just go!

ON BENDED KNEE-HIGH
I feel pretty much the same way about knee high boots as I do about riding boots, only knee high boots can take an outfit a bit further when it comes to formality since you can get them in heels from stacked and chunky to sexy stiletto. Knee high boots are a fall essential in my books since they do provide a bit of added warmth to any outfit, especially skirts and dresses!

OVER-THE-KNEE SOLEMATES
If you want to add a bit of sexiness to your outfit, go for a great over-the-knee boot! Again, these pair great with a great little dress or skirt or even skinny jeans, and, unlike a shorter sexy heeled boot or bootie, they provide you with a little bit more warmth, which you will be thankful for on those cooler autumn days. On warmer days you might be able to get away with not wearing nylons in these babies!

LET LOVE RAIN
Everyone needs a great fashionable pair of rain boots, right? There are so many great ones out there, but I tend to like things that have extra embellishments on them for a little bit of added visual interest and style, like these ones!

So, what's your favourite? Remember, of course, that most of the boots in this post come in other various colors, so if you like a style, make sure to check out the links to see what colors are available, and to order any of your favourites! Also keep in mind that the styles I have chosen throughout are from three of my favourite stores to shop for affordable stylish footwear from. There are many, MANY other great places to shop for boots, with endless choices - be careful! ;)
